Brickfield Rangers appoint Gareth Wilson as manager

Brickfield Rangers have appointed Gareth Wilson as their new first-team manager.

He returns to management having held roles with Prestatyn Town and Rhyl.

The UEFA A Licence coach will take charge of the club as they begin life in the inaugural North West League.

During his playing career, Wilson made 472 appearances in the Cymru Premier, scoring 39 goals.

He lifted the Cymru Premier, Welsh Cup and League Cup during his career.

“I am delighted to get this opportunity to be part of this exciting project for the club and community,” said Wilson to NWSport.co.uk

“Once I spoke with the people at the club and heard the plans I was sold. I am also excited by the opportunity to ply my trade in a very competitive newly-formed tier three.”

Wilson will be assisted by Matthew Cook, who will work as a player-coach. Chris Parry is also joining the coaching staff.

The 42-year-old will be working alongside Kevin Owen, Matt Honey, Mike Derosa and Simon Mullen who were already at the club prior to his appointment.
