The Cefn Druids have further added to their squad by signing both Ben Burrows and Ilan Ap Gareth from Wrexham and Chester respectively.
Huw Griffiths adds to his squad once again after the signings of Lewis Buckley, James Davies and Neil Ashton whilst forward Ashley Ruane re-signed with the club after a successful loan spell.
The pair have been involved with the club during pre-season, taking part in the clubs training sessions as well as featuring as trialists in their recent games.
Burrows joins Wrexham based Cefn Druids from National League side Wrexham after mostly playing for the Wrexham reserve side altough he had been in contention by being named on the first team’s substiute bench a number of times.
He came up against his former side in pre-season in front of a bumper crowd of 1854 fans in which Wrexham ran out 3-1 winners.
The utility-man can play in a number of positions but his primary position is as a defnder and has been described as a player who is comfortable with the ball and is capable of defending all areas.
Also joining the Druids is Chester youth Ilan Ap Gareth, a former Welsh Schools U18s internatiional who becomes the second player in the family to pull on Druids colours after his brother Owain had already played for the club.
Ilan like Ben has already played for the club in pre-season and got off the mark with a goal against Vanarama National League North side Tamworth over a fortnight ago.
Ap Gareth was a runner-up in the NWYA Premier Division Cup final most recently, scoring 25 goals in all competitions at youth level, including three hat-ricks.
Speaking to the Cefn Druids website, Jayson Starkey the Assistant Manager commented
“We are delighted to have brought in ben and Ilan. Both have shown a great attitude and desire since arriving. They are both young players who have a lot to offer and have already shown that they are keen to learn and listen, which will allow them to keep developing into better players”
