Drazdauskas signs for FC Nomads

Striker Daniel Drazdauskas has signed for Welsh National League Premier Division side FC Nomads, it was announced today.

Drazdauskas joins FC Nomads after leaving Buckley Town, having previously played for other Huws Gray Alliance sides Holywell and Mold Alex.

He joins the club at a time of managerial change, with Tom Taylor returning for a second spell in the Nomads’ hot seat.

Drazdauskas will be expected to join the squad for Saturday’s league fixture at Coedpoeth, and spoke to Y Clwb Pel Droed shortly after signing.

He said:  “I’m really excited to join the club. I know a few of the lads here already so I’m looking to hit the ground running and score goals on a regular basis.”

Reflecting on his previous experiences, Drazdauskas also points to game time as a key reason for his move to Wepre Park where he will apply his previous knowledge of the third tier game.

“The main reason for joining the club is to get me enjoying my football again. I’ve had some great highlights over the last couple of seasons with Mold, Holywell and Buckley but they have also been very sporadic, and I’ve been in and out of teams.

“Joining Nomads will hopefully allow me to get more of a run of successive games under my belt, get my fitness to a better standard, which will hopefully result in me scoring again on a regular basis.

“I’ve played in the Welsh National League before so I know to expect a physically hard challenge in pretty much all the games, which I’m really looking forward to.”

He also looks forward to working with Taylor as the club looks to start 2017 with a victory as they chase league title front runners Queens Park FC and Brickfield Rangers.

“I haven’t worked with Tom before but I heard great things from the lads who I knew down at Nomads and various other people involved in the game.

The training sessions I’ve been involved in before deciding to sign are a really good standard aswell, so I’m looking forward to seeing what results we can achieve going forward.”
