Legg parts ways with Bangor in shock departure

Andy Legg and Bangor City have today parted ways, in a shock departure, with Legg having guided the club to fourth in the Welsh Premier League table after joining the club back in the summer.

Legg joined the club earlier this summer, replacing longstanding manager Neville Powell, and under the club’s new owners, they made a host of signings to bolster a side that struggled to match their previous feats of challenging TNS, and lingered towards the lower half of the table.

Brayden Shaw, Daniel Nardiello, Henry Jones and Jordan Davies were some of the big names that Legg managed to recruit to the club upon his arrival, and all seemed well at the club initially under Legg’s leadership. The former Llanelli manager seemed pleased when he announced the club had signlled their intention to go professional, and only recently the club formally announced their plans to construct new roofing over one of the ground’s stands.

However, the club have parted ways with the former Wales international. The club’s media officer stated on Twitter;

Legg himself tweeted after being relieved of his duties;

There have been no indications as of yet who will take charge for the Citizens’ next fixture, home to Carmarthen on Saturday 26th.
