Andy Jones has returned to Welsh Premier League side Newtown AFC, where he previously played at for two and a half years, scoring nine times in fifty one appearances.

The former Evesham United man made the move from Airbus and sent a parting message.

“I’ve had a fantastic time at Airbus, I’ve loved every minute of it working with the staff and players at a good club”

Another European adventure is what Andy aims for and that is of the expectations of him and the manager Chris Hughes.

“I want to help take Newtown on another European adventure. I know that is the gaffer’s goal and the management’s goal, so hopefully we can bring it back.”

This summer has seen Newtown bring in eight recruits, after Airbus saw plenty of their squad torn up as they departed for pastures new. Last season’s fifth placed finish is something that manager Chris Hughes will want to build on and bringing back a fan favourite will be sure to bring unity to the squad.
