RECAP: Cardiff Metropolitan University vs Barry Town United

Barry Town United and Cardiff Metropolitan University lock horns for the second time in the week in the final game of the year in the Welsh Premier League.

The Linnets will be feeling the most confident after registering a narrow victory over the Archers on Tuesday, as defender Luke Cooper scored the all-important goal.

Barry’s win on Tuesday put them into the top six, with only a few games remaining, as they try to emulate their opponents Cardiff Met, who last season earned a top-six spot in their first season back in the Welsh top flight.

Cardiff Metropolitan University are in search of their first win in four matches. The Archers also suffered defeat on home soil for the first time since April in their last outing, as Chris Venables scored a late goal for Bala Town, ensuring they left Cyncoed with all three points.
Barry Town United on the other hand, are unbeaten in four games and have responded well to defeats to the Cefn Druids and Newtown, by holding European hopefuls Bangor City at home.
This will be the last game of the year for both sides and the Welsh Premier League, following the fixtures played yesterday. Newtown stunned all with an away victory at the home of the Champions, whilst Bala Town left it late again to beat Prestatyn Town.
