Afan Lido front-man Hartland in shock-move to Brynmawr

Afan Lido striker Chris Hartland has left the Welsh League Divison One club and has signed for Gwent County Division Three side Brynmawr.

Hartland has been a mainstay in the Lido starting eleven over the last few years, and has been key in their consistency, however he has departed the club in a bid to maintain his fitness due to recent injuries.

Hartland has played over 100 Welsh League games for them scoring over 50 goals, and thus is a real coup for the Gwent County side.

Brynmawr will surely be delighted with the signing and he will boost their striking options for the upcoming season. Brynmawr finished third in Gwent County Division 3 this season and have shown their intentions of pushing for promotion this coming season by signing a striker of Hartland’s calibre.

Time will tell if Afan Lido will be able to replace Hartland but they already have Kieran Cullen, Sebastian Haggett and Thomas Hadley Phillips in their ranks, but whether or not they can step up to fill the hole is yet to be known.
