Town also boast the best home record in the League, having won six out of their seven outings at Jenner. The only other team who are unbeaten at home in the Welsh League First Division this season is 6th placed Caerau (Ely).

The visitors to Jenner Park on Saturday are Cwmbran Celtic, and they come with topsy-turvy form having won three out of their last five games, one of which including a 6-4 thriller, in a win over Caerau (Ely). Cwmbran will be hoping for a repeat of the 2-1 win over Barry earlier on in the season, a win which inflicting Barry’s first loss of the season at the time.

Head To Head

The visitors have the edge over the hosts when it comes to games won. Cwmbran Celtic have won three out of the five meetings. The first time the two sides met was in 2010, the hosts coming out on top, winning 2-1. But, since then it has been the visitors who have dominated proceedings, winning three of the next four meetings. The next time the two sides met it was 2011, and it ended in a 2-2 draw. Following that game the visitors have recorded a 1-0, 2-0, and this season a 2-1 victory over the hosts.

Final Word

Town will be looking to put the past behind them when they face off against Cwmbran Celtic on Saturday in a must win game to keep the pressure on leaders Goytre, who are three points ahead of Town. Barry will also be looking to put pressure on 2nd placed Cambrian & Clydach, however they do have a significant five games in hand over Barry.

They will be hoping Taffs Well can do them a massive favour by defeating Goytre at home – Cambrian & Clydach aren’t back in action until next week, where they face off against Goytre’s local rivals, United.
