Rawlings and McCreesh sign for the The Steelmen

Former Penybont striker Anthony Rawlings and Afan Lido goalkeeper Rory McCreesh signed for Paul Evans’ men last week.

Rawlings, a striker who has a wealth of experience at this level, made his debut for the Blues on Saturday alongside new goalkeeper McCreesh, in a 4-1 defeat at Jenner Park to Barry Town United.

McCreesh has featured for Afan Lido in the Welsh Premier League, adding top flight experience to the ranks of a youthful Port Talbot side.

Speaking to the Port Talbot Town official website, Paul Evans’ commented on the double signing.

“Rory is a great keeper that communicates well and adds that vital experience to our defence.”

“I’ve worked with Rawlings a lot in the past, he has the character, work-rate and attitude this squad needs.”
