Former Cardiff City striker joins Abergavenny
Former Cardiff City developmental striker Dane Griffiths has joined Welsh Football League side Abergavenny Town from Rhayader Town.
Speaking to the Abergavenny Town Facebook page, he stated his ambitions with the club, which is to see the club secure a double promotion, which would see Abergavenny just one tier away from the top flight.
“I’ll do everything I can to help this club achieve promotion this season, that is the number one goal for everyone involved.”
After being released from Cardiff City due to the high intensity of professional football, Dane joined North Walian side Caersws before joining Rhayader Town.
The 21 year old who was playing at Vanarama Conference level just two years ago made his debut on Saturday, scoring against Aberbargoed Buds in a 4-3 victory for his new side.
